I bought the book Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day and I love it! I never thought I could make such pretty bread! Lookit this! It's so pretty! I highly recommend this book to everyone!

challah is my favourite bread to bake! It turns out so gorgeous. Yours looks fantastic!

In culinary school we made a challah once on an industrial size pan. It came out well over 3 feet long and a foot high. LOL We called it our anaconda challah. Smiley

I love that book. I usually go about my bread-making the long way (plenty of kneading), but every once in a while I pull out that boule recipe. The crust on it is amazing.

Your challah looks amazing!

Looks great!

I've been using the couple of free recipes from the website for a year, and I finally got the whole book last week. I've made like 3 new kinds of bread already.

Challah is one of the ones I want to make. It definitely looks more managable than the brioche dough, not so many eggs! And ever since I noticed the picture of the Challah loaf, I've suddenly remembered back to jr high when my jewish friend was having her bat mitzvah and there was a giant loaf of this bread just, like, in the foyer of the synagogue and it was really, really good.
