I'm from Moscow and I've been living in the US for the past couple of years, due to my parents moving here. What about you?

LordVader -- they should sell laurel in most stores in the spice section, in the form of leaves.

Looks like an easy and delicious soup, thanks for the recipe!
I'm pretty sure "laurel" and "bay leaves/sweet bay leaves" are interchangeable -both in name and flavor, if that helps. Smiley

That looks fantastic, I will definitely have to make that one this week...my husband just got a bunch of pepperoni and hard salami at the bulk food store.
