I stitched up this little birdie onto some vintage fabric from my stash. I can't decide what to do with it now - originally I was going to sew it onto my backpack, but I think now I might look for a cute frame at the thrift store.

Yay! first post in the needlework board!

Welcome to the Needlework board!  This design is absolutely perfect on your fabric.  I'm a sucker for embroidery on old linens and fabrics.  I agree it would be super cute framed.

Thanks for the pattern link, too.  Smiley

Thank you for the pattern link!

I never think to embroider on to a printed fabric. Your project is inspiration. It came out so precious! I too would frame it or incorporate into a pillow or something.

Great fabric choice for that little bird. He looks right at home there! I say go for the funky/vintage frame & make him into some wall art, I would hang him on my wall!
