YarnWranglerC, here's my first rug post and the knot was diagrammed and explained here.  I hope this helps you.

little me, my arms and shoulders are still hurting from all of that, but I will recover in time.  It's very tiring, but I was determined to finish it.

Thanks for the comments.

the pictures do not do this rug justice.......  It is beautiful.

I'm afraid the Historical Society will not want to have hundreds of kids running over it, but better this rug than an artifact.  Believe me, it is up to the abuse.  We have rugs in our house that are over 20 years old, get washed every week or so and still look this good.

In answer to a previous question, there is no knit fabric in this rug.  It is all woven cotton.

In some ways, I wish it were staying at our home, but it really is too big for that.  It will look very nice in the mock "log cabin" in which it will be used.

Congratulations on a job well done, pinokeeo!

I have to turn into Joey from Blossom for a minute here.  and. . . WHOOOOOOooaaaaaa!

Amazing.  Simply amazing.  What size hook did you use?  And did you seriously count through all those rounds?  I can barely make it through making a baby hat!  Lol.

Great job!  Another project that I wish I had the staying power to master.

Wow thanks Pinokeeo! That little diagram helped me out a bunch. I think I need to make a couple of big rectangular ones for under the kitchen table and the coffee table! Thanks a bunch!!!!
