Ok, now that all of mine have been sent off and everything, I can show off these two lovely dotees I received in the mail today.

This one is from Amazing_784, and I LOVE her; she's so feminine and elegant!

And here's the back. She's got GOBS of hair, and I'm just in awe of it since I have enough trouble attaching one strip of straight hair to all my dolls. I wish I could do that!

And from Kewlmomma, this beautiful little butterfly, which was accompanied by a note saying she flew in the window just for me! I love the color of her wings:

Isn't her smile cute? She looks like she's about to break into song! And the back for good measure:

Thanks so much! I love them both!

Glad you like the butterfly. Your picture shows my wonky stitching though. My machine was acting up a bit and I had already took it appart once. Roll Eyes Anyway, she still is cute and I'm sure she loves her new home.
I wish I knew how Amazing_784 did that hair too. Lovely job.
Smmarrt I love that dotee you recieved. It is so well done. I just kept looking at it to see how it was done. So beautiful.
I love the monkeys too. So cute and playful.
There are just so many great dotees here in this swap. I always look forward to the dotee swaps to see what will be next. So fun!!
I have a dotee to post, but still need to take a picture. Will try to do today sometime.

Yes, I too used push molds.  I think the ones for vtgirl and mamarose were actually called Art Doll Faces, and the one for SunflowerSmiles was Tribal.  It is the one with words like myth and spirit.  HTH

Do you get the molds online?  In the craft stores, what category are they in--clay?  I am making homemade papers and think maybe I could use some to make those cute little faces!!

I got them at Michael's.  They are in the clay aisle, and think they are scupley brand (not 100% sure though).

"well, looky here......"  *looking at the face that lydia used on the mold that I used for vtgirl*  I swear if things were any closer to my face it'd bite me. I had it all along.

Paper clay for the molds! *smacks forehead*  nooooowwww I know what to do with that stuff!  I tend to buy things for no reason cause I think I need it....for uh..no reason. Grin

The lady with the hair is beautimus! wish I had hair like that!

I'm so glad you like her...those curls were almost the death of me.  Actually, not really, but it took a while.  Hopefully not too many ends are sticking out.  I had to give her a haircut after I finished curling her hair!  Anyway, I might post a tutorial once I've got more of my projects done; deadlines for them are looming.

Wow! More nice additions!
Amazing_784, your doll lady is absolutely wonderful! The hair is amazing!! Love her!

Kewlmomma, another cutie bug! If I leave my porch windows open, maybe one will fly in...  Smiley Adorable!

Pushmolds - they were just on CLEARANCE at our local place, and I just didn't want to start up with polymer again, so I passed them by. Paperclay! Never thought of paperclay! (forehead slap)

What a terrific group!
