Here's the two I've received.

First this incredible monkey by titanimuhip. So cute and made with sock monkey fabric.


And this cute monkey and kitty from gigglygirl. I love monkeys!!


Wow, that puts me to 15 of these little guys. Think I've developed a better display idea and found the perfect bit in the garbage to make it happen. (Yup, I'm a garbage picker.) Once I get it together I'll share pics.

I've got to say, I love these swaps. You guys are very talented. I feel like I'm still on the rookie bench compared to some of you "newbies".

I just love her and I PM'ed Alterna to say that I will be rearranging my sets so Jeanne and Raggedy Ann can hang out with Buddy Holly and Jack Skellington - but now off to finish up another swap.

Thank you, Guys! I'm still learning this Dotee stuff - trying this and that 'til I find my own way. I really did enjoy making the Matisse, though. Now if I could figure out how to make the face rounder and fuller without making it narrower...

Now, on to my list for the evening! I'm just in from school and LOVE to hit the gallery right away and see what's new. You guys are terrific!!

Sunflower, this is another "elemental" type Leaf Being that I am seriously in love with. Love the beadwork and lovely serene face. Do you use a push mold for these faces?

The Monkey is too too sweet! The love-struck face is just adorable! Love the eye glint.

Gigglygirl:
The Monkey and Panda Kitty Duo are CUTE! Monkey remionds me of those old time toys where you pull a string and the arms and legs move, and Kitty is the perfect side-kick. Cute!!

Always something new and different! Love it!

 Do you use a push mold for these faces?

Yup  I don't remember the name of the face mold though(eg. angels, tribal etc.) but it's one of those push mold dealy boppers.

I'm curious if lydiaharper used a mold on the one she sent me?  I need to find that if she did. I love that face!

And I'm lovin that little orange monkey with the heart a BUNCH!

I still have so much to learn--I was interested in those molded faces as well--so nice and versatile!  I might have to get some of those if I plan on making tons of dotees!

I love the monkeys and I absolutely have to get me one of those leaf dotees!!

ha ha  I actually dreamed dotees last night...woke up this morning and sketched a few that I could remember! I think it is a good thing but maybe not...

I have the push molds - made by Sculpey, I think. And a tip - I use paper clay (Model Magic or cheaper brand, if you can find it). They harden in a day or less depending on the size and thickness, and you can shape the backside - flat or indented - to fit on almost anything. And they can be painted! Or dry brushed. Or rubbed with paint or wax. Lots of fun.

And wow - love the monkeys. And the leaf. And, well, all of them!
