Cool stuff! I really like the Day of the Dead dotee - I tried one like that a while ago. I really need to post all my mistake dotees - there are quite a few.

Also really like the tree nymph - you people are truly talented!

The day of the dead dotee is one of my favorites!  Love the face.  Is the flower on the body felted on or painted?

I like that Day of the Dead dotee too! I've always been so fond of those sugar skulls because they're so colorful, but I actually have yet to do any kind of artwork with them--I need to fix that!

I'm glad everybody liked the dotees I made, especially since they were my first. I'm not overly fond of embroidery, so I drew two of the faces and the tree nymph had a painted face (since hers was darker I needed something that wasn't translucent). There are also so many neat new ideas here I'm going to have to try--I recently invested in some polymer clays, so I may have to experiment with using those.

Oh, and Smmarrt's dotees remind me of a cartoon I used to watch when I was little. I like how they're so simple!

Great job everyone!!  I got mine from themuppet today too!!  This is too hilarious - on my list of "likes" I had fairytales and monsters.  Muppet's creative mind shifted into overdrive and this is the result - I now present.....Rapunze l-clops!  (applause applause applause!)  I am almost certain that there is no one else in the world with a Rapunzel-clops - haha - thanks so much muppet!  You did an amazing job!

You guys! I get distracted for a couple of days and lots of lovely Dotees appear! I love them all - Tree Nymph, Yo Yo Snow, I <3 Dotees (looks very familiar!), Sugar Skull, and Rapunzel-clops.
All so original and well done!  Nice work! I am learning so much from this group.

The flower is felted on... I did the faces on my dotees by painting gesso over some cheapo cotton fabric then painted them with watercolors.

I'm so glad Rapunzel-clops' hair survived the trip!  I styled those funky alpaca spikes for like 15 minutes and then thought "man these are gonna get destroyed when I package this thing".. lol!

Muppet - you have amazing skills! I'm trying to see the details on Rapunzel's eye - is that really glitter, or is it painted on? Very cool and very original!

blush!  Thank you   It's all just paint, no glitter.  I think what you're seeing as glittery are just little bloops and dots of white paint.. I'm a big fan of bloops and dots of white paint!
