Although this piece isn't nearly as impressive as the skittles dress I made back in '08, I figured It'd been long enough since I posted something.

I work in a craftstore, surrounded by fake flowers and the sort everyday, when we receive shipments there are a lot of flower pieces. I collected those pieces and made this.

I have no clue how many flowers are on this but its only 7 hours of sewing, so once again a speedy piece.
EDIT: okay so alot of people are commenting on my 'only seven hours', a day for a project is pretty quick, especially for a statement piece that is just flower sewn to flower sewn to flower. just sayin'.

There are probably more stitches on this than a king-size quilt.

love,
molly

So refreshing and beautiful. Would be neat as wedding dress in some fashion. One of the best things I've seen on here, LOVE IT.

Ooooh that's amazing! So bright and colourful and summery and tropical. I'm going to use it as inspiration for my upcoming flower fairy fancy dress costume if you don't mind  Cheesy

That is gorgeous, I love the bright colours.  How is it to wear?  Did you line it or anything, I imagine the flowers would be scratchy?

Seriously very lovely! I really like it.
Wonderful that you work in a craft store, I would love doing that as well ^_^

Pieces like these could fit very well on fantasy fairs and festivals, I bet people would absolutely love it.

So pretty!!

Since you worked with plastic flowers/in a craft store, do you know of good ways to keep that sort of stuff from giving off the plasticky smell down the line?
