Well, I sent to BeltainE on the due date, but haven't heard from her.  I'm assuming she got it by now, so I'm posting photos!  I am so happy with how they turned out!

I made 2 pieces.

This one has applique

Close-up of the larger one:

Close-up of the smaller one:

This one was all stitching on fabric, with no fabric applique.  It's a new technique for me, and I really like it!  I will be doing this again.

Thanks for looking!

These are gorgeous. Your background stitching on the green one is so even.

Those are so amazing! I am so sorry about your partner. You worked so hard on yours.
So did you use an embroider machine or did you free hand it all with a sewing machine?

It's all free-motion stitching.  And I tried new techniques with these, so I learned new things that I may have just kept putting off for later.  Those swap deadlines really keep you motivated!

ack!  I LOVE the birds!!!!  I need to play around with with that sort of method, such pretty results.

The lady bug spoons are adorable, I might have to think about trying that too, I can think of a few people that would really enjoy that as gifts  Cheesy
