My 4 yo son is obsessed with sea creatures - specifically starfish and sea horses.  He wanted me to make him some stuffed sea creature toys, so this is what I came up with.  I knew he would be playing a lot with them, so I kept them as simple as possible.  I used some bright batiks (he picked the fabrics) and was able to sew these up over the past few weeks.  He helped stuff them as well Smiley.  Once I had them all finished, I realized they needed a nice kelp bag so he could easily transport them.  He loves his new toy and can play all kinds of games with them.  For the record, he named each sea creature after a flower.  The  sea star is named Delphinium, the Seahorse is named Hyacinth.  I have to check with him tomorrow morning on what the other names are - I can't remember!  What do you think?

Aw! I love them. The flower names are so cute, too. I think 'hyacinth' is my favorite.

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.

Update, the shell is named "Iris", the octopus is named "Tiger Lily".

And a correction - the Sea horse is named "Cornflower" and the turtle is name "Hyacinth" Smiley, good thing I check with him!

Thanks for the nice comments!
