My package will be sent out Monday. Wink I was hoping to have it out tomorrow, but I need to do a finishing touch on one last thing.

For my book..... I think the first book I actually bought and read was Wicca:A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. I dabbled a lot in the library reading things here and there about random subjects. But I count this as my first, mostly because it's the one I remember and still own.  Grin

I'll be sending out on Monday as well. Smiley

As for my first book, it was Buckingham's Wicca for Life. While informative, it was a bit too dry for my liking.

My first book was True Magick by Amber K. It was a good book for information although I was convinced for a while because of it that I couldn't be wiccan because I eat meat and had no real desire not too. I later purchased additional books and learned this was not the case... I was relieved.

Spaz, I understand about that situation. I had bought a book on the Wiccan Rede (the poem version) and it breaks it down and starts talking about what each couplet means, it goes into the same thing about eating no meat and all kinds of things. It's a bit extreme actually. Roll Eyes  I got halfway through the book and decided I had enough. I don't I have picked it up since. lol. Did make me question myself for a bit, but eh, to each their own right? haha. I'm glad you found other sources and continued to follow your path. True Wiccan motivation right there! Always come home! haha  Cheesy

Sent today - both card and package! Yay! I can't wait for them to get these.

So ...Another Random Question! What was the very first pagan/wiccan book you read?

Mine was "Real Magic" by Isaac Bonewits. It was one of the very few back in 1976. Yikes! I feel old....

Real Magic was an important and much-needed book in its time, and you've reminded me that I ought to re-read it. (Oh! I just took our copy off the shelf and opened it to find it's been signed by Isaac Bonewits. I have no memory of that - when could it have happened? Some long-ago Pagan festival, I suppose.) Bonewits has been battling cancer recently, so he could use all the good energy we can send his way.

That's amazing! I sent him a friend request to his personal page on Facebook this week and he accepted. I saw your post on his Business Fan Page. I think it IS time to re-read that book. There must be a reason for all this attention on him in my life.

Sent today! With any luck, it should arrive well before Beltane. It's nice to have a partner who's relatively nearby.
