my hubbys super excited about this swap since i always watch whatever im swapping about.  he loves this as compared with, say, true blood (which i'll also be swapping for soon).  so we've agreed to start rewatching episodes tonight after i get some supplies!   Grin

as it is, ive been bouncing ideas off of him and it turns out that was a real mistake - apparently now he's decided i need to make him one of every single thing ive thought of!  silly boy  Tongue

about cradle of filth, i knew they were real and i gave them a shot.  i love music and have a pretty wide range of tastes, so i tried it out and i gotta say, it failed for me.  i liked a little bit of lots of songs, but then when it got too "rough", i didnt like it at all.  when im angry, even if i cant understand the lyrics, i still want something that has some rhythm to it and cradle of filth just wasnt cutting it for me.

completely off topic i am beginning to worry about volcanoes! hope they sort the post out soon. otherwise my poor swap partner might have a long wait.

on a lighter note, i have now decided on two definate items to make. rather than the list of about 30. alos rewatching S1 just to "make sure its all really perfect". he he xx

I know that they are starting to fly (or that's what the news said anyways), but not at full capacity yet....

Yes I was a little concerned about that too, but I checked on t'internet the other day and apparently Royal Mail had some kind contingency plan for this kind of eventuality so I belieeeeeve that international post was still getting out of the country anyways (I would imagine via land/boat to the nearest still functioning airport), albeit I would imagine this to have made a difference to standard international delivery times.

Still, I'm thankful that they've started up flights again anyways, international swapping aside I have a few friends with family members that were stranded abroad so at least they'll be reunited soon Smiley

Aww...sorry to hear you're not feeling well, Black.Eyed.Spyder. Hope you get better soon!

Here's something that's got me shaking my head in disbelief...the whole time I've been watching the show, I always thought "Cradle of Filth" was fictitious, made up by the show as an over-the-top spoof goth band name, much like Richmond is an over-the-top goth character. In doing "research" for swap ideas, I have learned there is actually a band by that name.

Wha?

Are they for real?

Do people take them seriously? Do goths take them seriously? Would Bauhaus take them seriously?

(And by "research" I mean watching clips of the show and enjoying them immensely, hehe)

LOL hey hun!! seen this and really had to say "typically" ive got all their CD's and are a massive fan lol Tongue

Black.Eyed.Spyder - i have to say that is one of my fav songs to, when it first came out i listoned to that song on repeat for over 2 weeks lol (I can get quite obsessive about some things)

Just finishing up my super mario swap and then im going to get started on my medium small item which if it turns out like i think it should i might wana keep it for myself lol

Ha ha ha ha ha, I like it!  That actually explains why a lot of things that I make don't work for no apparent reason! Grin

Sitting here with my IT boyfriend watching the show to get an idea for project #3, and he informs me of something funny...

Does anyone know what the very first shirt we see Roy in means?

It's funny now that I get it...

well, i started sewing for my swap today and now im not going to sew.

my machine went totally mad and bit me making its needle go right through my finger and out the other side.

lots of blood, a call to NHS direct later and i have to have tentnus shot in the morning and no sewing is happening from this swap for me. my finger is seriously on fire and is slightly numb.

sticking to hand stitches and things with wool me thinks. cant bite me. evil machine.

xx
