[April Fool's] Awesome Colorful Frame for My Mom

So my mom is really really hard to shop for, so I decided to make a Mother's Day present instead of buying one. She loves to surround herself with pictures of her kids and grandkids, so a picture frame she could put on her desk at work sounded like a good choice!

At first I made this, but it was missing something, you know?

Great idea!  Do you mind if I steal it for my own mom?  I have a smaller frame to decorate, though... do you think this would work if I rip the ends off of a q-tip instead?

Thank you! Of course you use the idea, it's really clever so I am sure they are going to catch on! Your mom will love it! Q-tips should work pretty well as long as you can get them off in one piece. Although the wispy look might be cool!

With the avatars being all messed up, for a minute, I thought phizzychick actually made that! It's so close to her style. She's done a lot of similar designs.

It's nice that you were obviously inspired by her work, but made it your own. As a mom, I can tell you that we always love everything our kids make and give us with love.
