Super modern looking with a retro twist... love it!  It's also great to know about the alterations - something I hate messing around with, but usually end up having to do anyway with fitted things  Smiley

You look absolutely lovely in this outfit. I had a look at that pattern a while ago but wasn't sure if I should go for it. I know you had to alter it a lot but was is (once you got the fit right) straight forward to sew? Particularly the jacket I mean. I have stayed away from jackets for now.
I also love your fabric choice. Red and black... my kinda gal!

Yes! Red and black have turned into "my" colors along with lime green and bright purple!

It was kinda hard to sew the yoke onto the jacket bodice...that curved seam took ALOT of manipulation to do right. The muslin gave me practice but it was really a mess! The curve needs to be clipped...like basically mangled to get a stretch around that curve. and i never got the dots to line up, but they were consistent on each side so I let it be. LOL The rest was easy. That's the part I am most proud of on this piece!

Great idea to make facings instead of lining it. It will be much more comfortable to wear. All of your clothes are so cute, and I love the red sandals and polka dot sunglasses!

I'd love to see the bowling pin necklace. (the pic wasn't showing)

The outfit is awesome. You did a great job modifying that pattern.  I have a copy I should play around with it.

You did an excellent job with all of the adjustments. I am so glad someone pulled this back up because I have this pattern in my collection. I am like you I like to take pattern and change them just enough to make it my own.
