The ENTIRE kit in all its glory!

This is my first posting in the papercraft board, but I created this unique mustache disguise kit that's become the envy of all my friends and coworkers.

I know we all have times where we're bombarded with work that we don't want to do, or people we don't want to see, so I created a Mustache Disguise Kit to help me cleverly escape from these unpleasant work situations.

The kit is made from post it notes, scissors and a sharpie marker.

I drew the 'staches onto the sticky part of the post it notes, colored it in with a black sharpie marker (though you could use other colors if you had red hair or blonde hair), cut it out and applied it to my upper lip.

Like I said, I have a total of about 10 different mustaches, though I left them at work accidentally.  I'll try to get a photo of all of the 'staches together, but I have made quite a variety!

That IS really great timing!! Now you'll be all set for Mustache Day at work!  I'm planning on posting a more complete tutorial later, but I have to go into work and extract the rest of my kit first.

Aw, you really rock a 'stache! Those are so cute, and must be fun to make. I'm going to make one real quick for my daughter to wear to school this morning. She'll LOVE it!  Smiley

Is it wrong that I want to make and wear these to Sam's Club so I can circle around the same delicious food sample cart multiple times without them detecting me?  Probably. Cheesy  I'm still going to do it, though!

More mustaches = more tiny sausages.

I am wondering, though, if anyone had adhesive advice?  The mustaches are fantastic, but sometimes the sticky part of the post it note stops working mid-escape.  Would any of you have advice as to what may be better to use?

Oh, that's a good question!  I wouldn't recommend hot glue, but that's just me. Cheesy

Wow--you made those from post-it notes?  who knew they could be so fun!!

I would take scotch tape and fold it in half--but only if you don't have real hairs above your lips because it could hurt if you had to take it off... Cheesy

Hot glue would definitely not be a good idea! *shiver*

.. though scotch tape might work. I'd just have to make sure I had  recent lip wax.

I was thinking about e6000 but I don't know that I want it that close to my nose.

e6000 would probably give you a permanent mustache!!

Plus, it can make you giddy because it is a glue and you might get in trouble at work if you are caught sniffing glue!!!  Be careful!!!

what a great idea! i think we could all use a mustache!!

you could always use the adhesive that comes in a little bottle that they use to attach latex prostetics to skin. i forget the name of it, i think it's spirit gum or something along those lines and it usually comes with it's own remover. you should be able to find it in a costume shop or perhaps online.

I had no idea that office supplies could make such realistic mustaches. This is going to put a HUGE dent in the fake mustache industry. I don't know how I feel about that. Sad Those people work really hard at what they do I'm sure. Sad

:teeheehee:
having only post-it adhesive just adds to the charm of the disguise!--or maybe, the intrigue?  Cool you never know when it will give out, so you must be quick and stealthy in your incognito state. (plain Elmer's school glue is generally ok for skin too...makes a nice cheap peel-off mask. but it might cause the paper to warp/wrinkle.)

Just wait until you see the REST of the mustaches! I, unfortunately, had to leave my handy kit at work so I could use it if I got cornered by someone, but I'm going to bring it home with me tonight so I can finally take better pictures!

Finally, I was able to get a photo of the entire mustache kit. Unfortunately, it had to be quick in between different 'stache disguises at work, but at least you can get an idea of the mustache variety available to someone!

I love the way these look all together. I am going to get that tattoed on me next Wednesday at 3:30. This guy I know, Willie the Snake, is going to do it. I can't wait! It's going to look awesome.

Is it ok with you if I use the image? PM me your signature and I'll make W.t.S. tattoo that on the lower right corner.

I'm wondering if it would be approprate to use some of these as eyebrows? Some of them have the shape I can't achieve with a regular regimen of plucking and waxing.

I was thinking a strip of hollywood tape would work well...you know the doublesided tape used to tape fabric to skin when there is potential for popping out the top [or sides?] of your dress. It would be perfect for a night's worth of stealth.
