So last year I made the TV dinner cupcakes for April Fool's day and this year I came across this sweet little idea in the Family Fun magazine and thought I should post this for all to have some good ol' fun this April 1st.

These are too easy!

All you need to do is melt some white chocolate chips,  pool onto wax paper lined tray and sit yellow m&ms into center. (I wing everything and use what I have so I did not follow exact instructions as per in Family Fun.) Chill.

Then take a tootsie roll midgees and square caramel nuke for 5 seconds and manipulate like clay, stack and squeeze gently then cut in half and stack again.

Cut into 1/4 inch pieces.

Squeeze and pull these into "bacon strips" and then ripple the edges for a realistic look.

Serve to all the Fools you know. Wink

This is my first Real post and so I apologize if this is somewhere I have not seen or if I have offended by wrong board posting or something.

I love it! I want to make them sometime! Now I just have to come up with an occasion to make them for...hm.
How big are yours? Could you put these on a cake do you think?

Yes this would make a hilarious cake! The last pic has a penny for size reference. The magazine said to make the white part of the eggs nickle size, I however made them slightly larger than a quarter I'd say. I think with a little experimenting these could be life size if you found a larger thing for the yolk. The bacon can definitely be life size if you stack 4 candies and then manipulate. Good luck and post it if you do make this into a cake. I can't wait! Smiley

I hate eggs so this might be the only way I'd eat them! Super cute idea and well executed! Thanks for sharing.

Ha Ha! Clever and tasty!

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.
