I've looked at this a few times but just noticed the picture with the cat on the bed - it looks for all the world like you created a throne just for the kitty!  (which, I'm sure, is what kitty assumes.)

Progress not perfection.

What about creating your daughters new room into sorta a boutique shop or an Abercrombie or even Hollister store!  Keep the color relatively simple and put pictures of crazy sexy hair models girls and guy or abercrombie models framed.  Have a nice spot for her to be able to do her hair and makeup so she doesn't take up your bathroom when that become a daily priority. Pick one quote that you really feel she will like and be inspired by like "be simple, be real, be you" and have it kinda draped over her mirror or a spot she can see it every day.  Make some room in that closet for shoes!! let her know that YOU know shes growing up and now that she is getting older staying on the same page with her would be really nice, it rarely ever happens with teenage monsters but you doing this for her will show her how much you appreciate and respect her now that shes growing up and not a little girly anymore!!

Shocked  Oh, wow, this is amazing!!!  What a beautiful room for a lucky girl.  It's a shame you're going to be redoing the desk, etc because the painting is just wonderful!  I would have loved a room like this when I was little.  It's just beautiful.
