My Youngest's class party is today and I decided to make some Easter hats for them.  Here's how it turned out:

I made them from the Foamies sheets that you can get at the craft stores.  I purchased mine from JoAnn's.  I used a giant roll (36" x 60") of white and used two (11" x 17") sheets of pink.

The band around the head is 4" x 20" and stapled in the back.  The ears were cut out (each white part is approximately 10" tall) and then assembled with glue and then the entire ear was also stapled to the band in the back.

Super easy.   Using the giant roll and a 40% off coupon saved tons of money.  Each hat (there were 12 of them) only cost $.56 each.

I would rather be bitten by a snake than walk thru a spiderweb and not know where the spider is!

Great idea for a super cute cheap project for a class!  It seems easy enough that they could almost have done it themselves as an art project!  Great idea~
