AHEM.   Cheesy

Not everyone in America eats Jiffy or Skippy or whatever else.

Phew!  Grin Grin Grin

I know you can get good, freshly ground, peanut butter everywhere, but few places have the sweet oily goo that seems to be everywhere in America. OH, and cinnamon flavoured lollies. What's with that? Ha ha tastes can be so strange.

And yes to crafty sweets boxes. Maybe sweets decorated appliqu/stencils/whatever. Carved stamps, biscuit tins, bowls, cups (hot chocs etc), cup and saucer, charms/jewellery/shrink plastic...

I would totally be down with this. Especially if I could be partnered with an Aussie to get me some TimTams.

In regards to peanut butter: I've been working really hard to lose weight , but can't give up my beloved pb. My trainer suggested I switch to Adam's and I tried it and just about gagged. Guess I was brainwashed in the 80's cause I think that "choosy moms choose Jif"

You might want to look for Tim Tams locally.  About a year ago, they started showing up in lots of candy shops around here ( I'm in Ga.).  My daughter ate them when she was in Australia and she says they are really Tim Tams and not some 'made for export' knock-off.  Of course; if this swap takes off, maybe you won't have to look for them locally.

Can't recall who it was that was looking for Tim Tams, but they have them at World Market shops Cheesy

As for crafty snack containers, I usually carry a zippered pouch in my purse that I stock with candy, granola bars, and crackers.  It's much less awkward than carrying a box in my purse Wink

australia also has summer rolls...mmm and my daughter as added to the list (we used to live there) chicos, twisties, strawberries and cream raspberries, pineapples, jelly snakes...

and of course timtams..for a brief period here we used to be able to get timtams..no more.

I live in ireland so we have access to all of the good stuff, I'm trying to think of the most popular cadburys snacks..kitkats, bounty bars, terrys chocolate orange, lindt, twirl, flake, twix

in ireland cadburys do great snax (thats what they call them) to eat with a cuppa

plus chocolate kimberlys ...mmm...tatyo crisps (you guys call them potato chips)

and of course

kinder eggs....!

AHEM.   Cheesy

Not everyone in America eats Jiffy or Skippy or whatever else.

I eat freshly ground, organic, NUMMy peanut butter.  They don't grind the peanuts until I stand there and ask for it! And when they don't have anything on hand to grind, I buy Adam's Peanut Butter which contains: peanuts.  That's it.

So quit it with that "American peanut butter is so strange" stuff.  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

::drools::

I'm jealous, Cam!!!! That sounds sooo good!! Do you get it at your Farmer's Market?  Wink

no idea if i would participate or not as my time is really really taken right now...
but it might be worthwhile for the swap requirements for it to be x amount of local treats and 1 (or 2 depending on what people are interested in) medium snack/candy inspired or related items.  This would mean that the crafts could either promote candy love or could help us all love our candy...
