So, in the craft kit swap there was some chat about having a snack swap. It would involve sending some snacks not available in your partner's country/region and some crefty goody.

So, what isn't available in your region?
What is available in your region that might not be elsewhere?
And, what crafty goodies can you think of?

My ideas are:
Australia has
-Tim Tams (choc biscuits)
-Starburst sweets/lollies
-Violet Crumble (Choc coated honeycomb bars)
-Pollywaffle bars
-Choo choo bars
-Eucalyptus drops (boiled candy - eucalyptus flavour)
-Caramello Koala
-Cherry Ripe bars
-Bertie Beetle chocolate
-Iced vo-vos
-Cheds biscuits
-Tee vee snacks
-Wagon Wheels

Australia doesn't have (or are difficult to find)
-Jolly Ranchers
-Reeses Peanut butter cups (but I think they're foul!)
-Candy corn
-Three musketeers
-Pixie sticks
-Junior Mints
-Altoids (they need to be purchased from an imports shop)
-Hot tamales
-Double decker
-Lion Bar
-Star Bar

Craft ideas
-snack bowls
-reuseable snack bags

Schnerby, I was just talking about Australians and their dislike for peanut butter yesterday with one of my students who is a hosting an Aussie exchange student.

So I asked my student if she was fair and tried veggimite after she offered her (the exchange student) a PB sandwich. She did and said she'll stick to PB. LOL!

This could be a fun swap! Smiley

I'm in if we get a swap going.

We don't really get Hersey's Kisses, grape flavoured stuff, funky liquorice stuff (liken they get in Finland).

Oh; Schnerby,  Thank you for jumping on this!  I knew it was something everyone would love, but have no skills to organize a swap at all.  I hate to think of the mess I would make trying to organize... think Atlanta traffic jam.

I'm really up for anything from anywhere because I just love to try new things... but yes, I pray for an Aussie partner in this because I dream of Starburst Babies every night.  They have haunted me since the first one went screaming into my big ol mouth.

There's really nothing in my area that's all that special, except maybe pralines.  Of course, if I did have an Aussie partner, I would probably want to send her something with peanut butter in it.  American peanut butter ( especially Jif) is so much sweeter and creamier than what's available there.  I base that on the fact that ever since my daughter took Jif with her when she interned there, her host family and co-workers have been begging for Jif shipments.
