I wasn't sure what section to put this in.  More goodies for my trip to England! I needed a case for my knitpicks options sets (I have the zephyr and nickel-plated... LOVE!), since I kinda hate the cases that they came in.  And besides, who doesn't like to customize? So this is what I came up with, after lots and lots and lots of math, measuring, calculating, trial and error.  I'm surprised I could get it done in an afternoon.  I quilted the outside with free-form stippling in a shiny purple thread.  The inside needed to be sturdy, so I used duck cloth, and I'm so glad I did.  I'm slowly getting better at binding too, and I think it's easier NOT to use my binding foot.  I kinda love it! What do you guys think?

practical and beautiful!!  the beauty of customization is that you can make it to exactly how you work and what you have!!

guess you'll be knittting away in style!

Your binding looks pretty darn good ... I am so proud of your growing skills!!

Have fun in England!!

*Tacklehugs* The sign of a craft addict: traveling is a perfect opportunity for crafting! Now I just need to make a work-in-progress bag so my yarn doesn't go rolling all over the place. Cheesy Thank you again, alwaysinmyroom, for showing me the ropes and being my guru.  You are what I miss about Pennsylvania the most.

bongirl5--you should make a passport wallet to carry your passport, e-ticket/ticker, change, maps, id, etc.  Like this:

I could give you the link to the templates if you'd like!

I will put the link up later, bongirl5, if you don't mind my putting it here...or I can pm you with it...if you have left over fabric you can make a matching set!  They are so fun to make with coordinating fabrics!  There is another member here who gave a great tutorial and she puts a zipper in hers...I will find that for you as well!

I know you can make this--piece of cake now that you are a "pro"!! love and hugs

No worries, alwaysinmyroom! You wouldn't have been "hijacking" my post. Smiley. I did some searching and found the PDF for the adorn pattern, and I can't wait to get started! I think the one you made is really really adorable. Where did you find that fabric?

Aside from the fabric and construction being fabulous, I think the best part is that you got the button to match the stars on the fabric. That little detail just makes it irresistible.
