Here is a springy romper I reconned from a misses strapless dress! I am really into recons these days! I generally have no clue what I'm doing sewing-wise, so I know there are plenty of mistakes and boo-boos but overall I think it's pretty cute.  I put elastic around the leg about 2 1/2 inches up, but it doesn't gather in as much as I wanted it too, so I may rip that out and redo it.  I should have put some snaps on the inside leg seams as well for ease of diapering, but I'm not that brave. Also, it's my first time using bias tape. Smiley Go me!

OMG, so cute - both baby and romper. Love how she's modeling the romper, all the baby fat cuteness!
Also love how you did the recon - the matching green bias tape used and the romper part. I would have just made the bottom a skirt with a recon like this, you have taken the time and effort to make it a romper.

I usually would have made a dress out of it, too, but I wanted to try something different.  The romper was definitely a beast for me to figure out!  I used a romper she already has to make the pattern.  Next time I'll try actually adding the leg snaps. I've seen that there are some tutes for that on here.

And yes, she generally is full of mischief! But she loves posing for me.  She just always makes that screwed up face and says, "cheese!"
