Ahhhhh, I can believe how many people are sending/receiving already!!!  I know we still have over a month, but I'm feeling the pressure....  Tongue  I have all of my supplies.  I think I will start working on it tonight.  I have another swap that I've been crafting for today, but I think I might take a break and start working on this in a bit.  Smiley  It should be very fun.  I haven't done something like what I'm planning in awhile.

woo hoo I have finished! the idea was germinating in my head and I started today, enjoyed it so much that I kept going and now its done...and I love it!

I went for a walk then and had inspiration for an extra piece of wall art, less time consuming, but I think my partner will love it!

I sat down and got some paint onto a canvas today. I've blocked out the basic shape and I'm hoping the background dries with enough time to start layering some color onto the focal thing.

I'm feeling MUCH more confident now that I've actually gotten started. I've never done this in such a large scale before (typically only on greeting cards), and I've never actually used a canvas... So, there was a lot that could have gone wrong. And so far nothing has!! I'm loving the basic shape and while the paint dries I'm going to use my new ________ to make all the ________ to go on it! Yay for using multiple mediums!

I think this is going to be just right for my wonderful partner. It's totally her theme, will go well with her decor, has a little personal touch... and is still staying true to my style. Needless to say, I'm totally stoked!!!

I MUST get started on this swap and the Frugal swap, as I want to join the Old Fashioned Random swap...but I can't allow myself to do it until I make some significant progress on other swaps I have partners for.  Today should be a busy day!
