So, it's 10 pm, The Kids Choice Awards are over, so what should I do? ROTOSCOPE!! I've never actually done this, or seen avatar, but hey, I'm open to trying new things. I'm not really sure what to call this, but I see kids in my school's graphic design class do this all the time, so why not? I kind of consider this a small victory, cause i never have the patience to do this kind of thing on the computer.

SO this is the original

and this is the rotoscope overlaying the original.

And here is the final project.

And the Final Project in Green!!

that looks lovely.

to those that don't know, rotoscoping is often used in animation. it picks the colors on the image up and makes them into splotches of color instead of a smooth gradient.
A Scanner Darkly is a pretty famous example.

@ Sum1smuma

it was actually very simple. I opened the picture into photostudio 5.5 (it could actually be any program that lets you use layers) and created another blank layer on top of it. Then I used the eyedropper tool to pick up the colors, and then colored away. Then when I was done, since everything was in layers, i could delete the original picture and be left with the new rotoscoped picture.
