i have two metal extension poles that id like to give some use.  problem is, the threads to attach the roller dont come off and neither does the small hook at the end (used to hang it up) and it's covered in white plastic that wont want to come off.  the good news is that i can cover it in fabric or whathaveyou.  i want to make something cheap with them that will use the height they have (i already have a spot in my place picked out).  i was thinking about maybe making a "tree" out of them but what could i use as leaves (no money to buy fake ones)?  any suggestions on this or other uses are really welcome and appreciated.  thanks so much!

Use green felt to make Palm tree leaves use metal coat hangers to stiffen the leafs, cover the pole in brown felt or even brown paper bag make a couple of coconuts out of the brown felt and there ya go. I made them for a friends B-Day party but use PVC pipe for the trunks. hope it helps
