So this is my companion bracelet to my Red Queen Bracelet. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=342469.msg3976272#msg3976272
Again, the pictures are fuzzy and I apologize for that. This one is a little bit less pretentious than the Red Queen piece, as the White Queen seems to be a little more confident in her personal presence. Though its not at cluttered, this braceletended up being the more expensive materialswise as it is filled with freshwater pearls and swarovski crystals in clear and blue. I went with the crystals and pearls after seeing Anne Hathaway's costuming in the new movie. The blue I added because although the White Queen is supposed to be the more benevolent one, there is something undeniably Icy about her charachter as a whole. In the Red bracelet my homage to the hatter was a tiny pair of scissors, in this bracelet it is a golden plume charm. There is also a charm depicting the top of a scepter and one with a court jester. both of these look as if they were drawn in a similar style to the illustrations of the original Alice books. There is a filigree silver charm with a bird in the middle, and a genuine gold drop charm with a moonstone orb in the center. Again I put a crown on this bracelet, but with the Red Queen's the jewel was a faceted red glass bead, on this it is a freshwater pearl. Different Crowns for Different Queens. My favorite charm on this is a large blue mirrored glass charm with facets around the edges. In one of the pictures you can see it reflecting part of a tattoo that is on my chest. This of course represents "Through the Looking Glass". There are a lot of other tiny details on this that I wont list, mostly glass beads and bone. Thanks for looking!

I think I like the red one better too but I really like the shiny mirrored gem on this one (but that might just be me being easily distracted by shiny things!).  Grin

Me too....maybe thats why I am also in love with birds of prey because they also go after shiny things, especially the ravens around here. they will pick up anything shiny they find.
