I made this dress/tunic from a Japanese pattern book I've had for a couple of years. The fabric has also been in my stash for a while now - light cotton, summer weight. My problem is, I can't decide where to hem it. Should I go full length (pattern length) to wear as a dress or shorten it to a tunic length to wear over jeans or leggings?
And if I shorten it, should I keep the border, or chop it off? I like the border, but DH says it distracts/detracts from the neckline, which I quite like.

In case you may be wondering, the shoulders are quite comfortable and don't slip at all. I really like this dress/shirt whatever it will be. I plan on making another one or two.

As always, I'm swimming against the tide. I vote #1 (dress) and make the next one a shirt.

Number 3 for me too!  It looks more flattering with the border and as a tunic!
