I made this crocheted afghan for my fiance, Paul as an anniversary present to celebrate our 5-year anniversary!  It was tough because we live together, so I had to crochet it in secret when he wasn't around.  I managed to finish it within about 3 weeks somehow!

Since I am a very beginner crocheter, this afghan is done completely in the double crochet stitch - really simple!  The wool that I used is Marble Chunky - shades of gray, brown, beige.  I made the blanket in pretty neutral colors not because it is a little more manly, but because it will surely match our decor for years to come! Smiley

Paul totally LOVES the afghan - it was a big surprise for him! Smiley

I really love the colors in this.  Grey is one of my favorites, even though it's probably the complete opposite of my personality!

This is beautiful, it really caught my eye.  I was wondering, how many balls of yarn did it take?  Thanks!
