Very pretty.  How do you keep the hooks from poking you or getting tangled in your hair?

I put a bead on the end and cover it with epoxy so there's no point to poke me. That's not to say that they never get tangled in my hair though! It happens sometimes, but it's easier to get out without a sharp end.

Thanks for all your comments. I'll keep tying!

What an amazing concept, it looked risky since I thought the pointy parts were left untouched but they weren't. I can't help but see insects through your designs, the last one looks like a moth to me. It's just freaking cool <3

Nven and I actually met in our first year of high school because of my fly fish hook earrings Cheesy We were standing in line for school photos and she asked me if those were fish hooks in my ears hehehe. Wow... that was like, 17 years ago... hehe i was just looking at that pair of earrings on the weekend.

beautiful job with the flies! i just lightly filed down the hooks so that i wouldn't stab myself, but they were a pain to wear with long hair.

Those are beautiful.  My only fear would be that you could get pricked by the end.
