A reminder to look on the bright side featuring a Dalai Lama quote and a half-full glass of lemonade made with the lemons life gave me.  Smiley 

Applique and stitching, tinted with chalk.

But then again, sometimes I feel a little more aggressive...

The yellow gingham is perfect! love the fit between the image and the text. Also love the second one. Yeah, stitching keeps the hands busy, so no strangling... Grin

I like the sentiment in the first one! It's one that I need to be reminded of from time to time.

The second one is too true for me to display.  Wink Though I can think of some other appropriate verbs as well (read, crochet, bead, shop....).

They both look great too!

Thank you for the reminder...being optimistic does feel better. Beautiful work. I love the combo of yellow gingham and blue floss. The lettering is also great!
