@Takozu and Yiski I'm not sure how effectively I could put together a tut, but I can post sketches (as soon as I have access to a scanner) I did while making it of the basic mechanism.

 Shocked that is awesome! i sooooo want to make one now! it looks so much better and easier to use than my homemade frame loom. I am anxiously awaiting those sketches. Thank you so much for sharing!

Wow that is amazing! Kudos to you - would you consider posting instructions? I have always been interested in looms and weaving with natural materials and found objects. this would be an amazing project to work with my school age daycare group.
