SuperHero Vs Villains Themed Party - - not only one of the best themes to make a costume for, but also a great theme for props.

Me and a friend dabble in a bit of prop making from time to time and were asked to make some peices to set the theme

We made: Centrepieces , Superhero Cutouts, A Burning building , A Blue screen with clouds for the heros to pose/fly, and Villain Cutouts.

Heres the Burning Building Up close... LOL - yes that lady screaming IS what you think it is Wink

and a shot of the building

We also made signs for the Hero or Villain to hold whilst standing at the base of the building 'Ill Save You' for the Hero and 'Muahahahahaha' (evil laugh) for the Villain - that way with them posing for photos it could look like a part of a comic strip. It was great with everyone in their costumes.

The 'building' is made out of a wooden frame

and coreflute sheets stapled onto it. Painted to look like a brick building. We nailed on wooden panes for the window frames too.
Everything we made for the evening was a first time for us - so it was trial and error and once again we learnt from our mistakes.

These are the Villain Cutouts : their faces are cut out so that people could stick their heads in and become that villain - for photos.

The are made out of sheet of polystyrene and were hand painted by us using stencils and patience Smiley

It was alot of fun to make it all.
We also made our own costumes for the event and actually invented our own SuperHero and the arch-nemesis Villain up - we are a little crazy Tongue

These are perfect for a villians vs hereos party. Really like that faux fire building with helpless old lady.
