Learn to crochet with Underground Crafter!

Tunisian crochet makes a beautiful and thick yarn fabric which looks more like knitting than traditional crochet. Learn the basics of Tunisian crochet including forming three different stitches, how to reduce the curl, and basic pattern reading and trouble shooting. This class is perfect for crochet newbies and experienced knitters/crocheters who are new to Tunisian crochet. Class size is limited. Pre-registration with payment required by Friday, 3/26/10.

When: Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Where: University Settlement's Houston Street Center, 273 Bowery near the corner of Houston Street, New York, NY - visit http://www.universitysettlement.org/what/directions.html for directions and map.

How much? $45 includes all materials and handouts.

About Underground Crafter: Marie Segares, Proprietress of the Underground Crafter, has been crocheting for over 25 years and is a Craft Yarn Council of America Certified Crochet Instructor (Level I) and Certified Crochet Teacher (Level II). She specializes in teaching individual and small group crochet classes for beginner and intermediate students. In addition to private lessons, Marie teaches crochet through Barnard College mini courses and the DC 37 Saturday Activity Program.
