I really like this one. It was much more successful than my first. It is simple, yes, but I am trying to teach myself the basics. I did this with no instruction, so I was pretty stoked at how well it turned out. I used a newspaper piece to help guide the size of the fabric. The edges are much more clean and pretty.  I lined it with a plain black fabric. I think that I would have liked it a bit bigger, but all in all I like it a lot more. I did not have much trouble at all with this except making the strap. The fabric was not long enough so I had to merge 2 straps. The only issue was getting it even, and I learned how important an iron is when you are making something. It was so invaluable in getting the strap nice and even and clean.
Contrary to how the 2ND picture looks, the straps are on either edge of the purse.
