Now that she's received and posted, I wanted to post some more pictures of the stuff I sent to Mel-Pez...I was pretty happy with everything.

All the stuff

I have alot of take out boxes and I wanted to send her one...but I couldn't send it empty..so I lined it with some oriental fabric and made some felt strawberries.

She said she collected magnets

A wallet.  I wasn't super happy with how it turned out but I loved the fabric

A checkbook cover.  I forgot to take a picture of it, but the other side is the whole cast.

Inevitable betrayal t-shirt (front)

back

and the thing I'm most proud of....a firefly purse!!  It's lined with sort of dinosaur jungle fabric.

And my first foray into shrinky-dinks since I was very very young!  I love playing with that stuff again!

Sorry for the photo fat post.... Grin

Mel-Pez, I hope that you are a convention goer because those items would be so great to wear/take to show off!!

Thanks for all the sweet comments, everyone  Cheesy! *feels all warm and fuzzy*

We have such an amazing gallery! If I weren't taking part in this swap, I'm sure I would have stalked it anyway Tongue. Everyone has put toghether such creative and wonderful packages Smiley.

And be prepared to be amazed once more, 'cause I received my lovely package from caleycupcakes yesterday!

First there's the package;

I only just got home from an overnight trip at my friends's place, when the FedEx guy rang. Lucky me Wink!
(which was also exciting already, 'cause I'd never had a FedEx package before and it reminded me of Castaway *geek*)

Together with the items came a note with a little greeting and an explanation of what was in the box.

Caley made me some (5!) great reusable shopping totes featuring all Serenity's crewmembers:

And her (and mine  Grin) favourite;

(back)

The lines are so crisp and clean! I don't know which technique she used to stencil these, but she sure is good at it Wink!

And in the spirit of groceries/shopping she also added these fun supply lists with images of the crew and the ship;

and this cool chinese style wallet (which was a store-bought extra);

I swear, right after opening my package I cycled 12 km to get some beans and mushrooms, just so I could use the supply-notes, and show off one of the bags and the wallet.. hehe Cool Wink

Next I found this adorable handpainted 'chinese style' parasol;

And this Firefly candle, of which I have no idea how she made it, but came out so cute Smiley ;

Next (yes, there is more  Cheesy..) is this lovely patchwork pillow;

which is so browncoat-y and nice Smiley

And last, but definitely not least, these awesome bookmarks;

(front)

(back)

They come in super handy, 'cause now I can finally get rid of all the pieces of toiletpaper, traincards, and receipts that are stuck between my books, and replace them with these fun and propper bookmarks instead Wink.

Thanks again, Caley! You've been a great partner  Kiss!

(by the way; if anyone wants close ups of all these pretties, just let me know Wink)

You are so welcome! I'm glad everything arrived in one piece! I'm not sure if i mentioned it in my letter or not, but I dyed the bags with tea (again, for our love of tea) to give them a "used" look!

If you ever want to know how to do the candles, just let me know!

<333 I am so happy that we were swap partners - i think next we need a tea related swap!! xxx

I really love that notepad. Then again, there hasn't been much in this swap that I don't love. Somehow, I always end up in the best swaps with the most awesome of people.
