Sakura Pouch.

Being completly infatuated with Japan and at the moment crochet, I decided to make this Sakura drawstring pouch.







It has an extra sturdy bottom, made by two flat circles with a piece of felt in between and lot's of double crochets.

I stood infront of the yarn in Micheal's today looking for just the right pink for cherry blossom, and I am making a makeup bag for my son's girlfriend

This is lovely, really lovely.
I'd have been nervous of the dark dark tree trunk, but it all works.

How did you make the flowers?  They look quite small, I've not been able to make flowers that small, are they all directly into a magic ring?

I made the flowers bij chaining 6 and joining at the end. Then I did a dc, ch1, dc and a slst. Make sure that the beginning tail is wrapped in with that. That makes one petal. Repeat another 4 times for 5 petals and fasten of.
