this is my favorite style! all the skirts are unique and wonderful. do you think these are hard to make? my mom calls me a "get it done" type of sewer even when i try to slow down its hard to make eeverything perfect.

Ok, so the last post on this thread was over a year ago, but I am so loving these skirts!
I have never been one to wear skirts but I have realized that skirts are much more comfy than shorts! I am not a thin person, I never have been thin but having kids has given me about 40 pounds extra added to my 5 ft 2in body. I have never been able to wear ANY article of clothing where my inner thighs DON'T rub together, even at my lowest (pre-baby) weight of 113 pounds. I bought a couple of those "cheater" skirts from the fabric department where you just sew up one seam and I LOVE them! I am working on one now, following the ericas.com instructions and it is easy after I had to read thru it a couple times LOL

I would love to make one. I'm thinking of making a patchwork gypspy style skirt. Maybe in green.

Amazing - I especially love the patchwork version!

Inspired by a refashion I saw on wardroberefashion.net, I have plans to make a denim gypsy skirt. Once all my other projects are finished (I have maybe 6 things that I'm working on, and really need to finish before I start anything new Tongue)

http://www.ehow.com/how_8689626_make-bohemian-skirt.html

I just wrote an article on this. It's posted on eHow.com. I couldnt find a coherent tutorial anywhere so I had to cut and paste a few different ones together. Its for a bohemian skirt, but the two are fairly similar.
