My niece is turning 4 next weekend and wants to have a Hello Kitty birthday party. Naturally she asked me to make her a dress.

The dress itself is from a book I bought. I believe its called Absolutely A-line. All the dresses in the book are based off the same 4 pattern pieces. I must say the directions were kind of vague, luckily I had made other dresses and kind of fudged my way through it.

I found a picture of Hello Kitty online and made the applique myself by cutting out the pieces and ironing and sewing them on. Then I outlined them with black fabric paint on the same outline of the original desing using my Yudu as a light box.

I can't wait for her to try it on!!!
