this project took 3 months to complete. THREE MONTHS. i've never done something this big, ever. obviously not all at once (took a good month just to buy the frame  Roll Eyes ) but now its done i want to cry tears of joy and bygone frustrations. its a birthday present for my mum (bday was feb 5th, oopsie daisy) of our lovely dog Quiver who passed away last january. she was the most incredible dog, so it really was a joy to do as a kind of commemoration  Smiley

so here she blows! i framed it with the picture i made the pattern from, and decorated it with cut-outs of pawprints. one of which is covering some glue. how annoying is glue? anyway!

closeup, i used 4 different colours of thread:

and the original pic:

there are umpteen mistakes with it. i hate how you can see through the black thread. theres stains in bits, and its probably not straight. however, its a learning curve, right? and its for mum, who loves everything i do even when its blatantly terrible  Smiley

It's beautiful!  I think this kind of memento is just perfect.  I still miss my first dog, and I'd be overjoyed if I had something like this.

Hehe, her face in the photo seems to be saying: "I'll get back to you, you'll see.  Not today, not tomorrow, but when you'll least expect it... I'll jump on you and lick your face till you're dripping all over!"

This is both well done and very sweetly sentimental.  I want to do some needlework pieces of the cats who enriched us before going on, and this is very inspirational.

ah cool another beaglefan! they are the naughtiest little rascals but so heartbreakingly cute  Cheesy i have the most amazing memories of her getting into right situations, and when she wanted something she would "talk" to us - it definitely sounded like a telling off  Cheesy
