I was going to start a big sewing project and didn't have a pincushion so I couldn't start until I had made at least 2 Smiley

Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry.  Made with some left over fabric that I had laying around and a cute button that matches the middle of the flowers Smiley

The big one I left as is until I needed it to hem some curtains downstairs.  I took one of my husband's old socks cut the top band off and sewed it to the pincushion so I could wear it Smiley

this is the one I use the most.  The bottom is from a used tea-light candle.  I filled the base with lentils and then glued in the cushion part (made from the sock that I cut the band off)

You're welcome Smiley  and its really easy.  You might want to back the though.  Mine is thick enough that the pins wont stab me unless I push really hard.

I love your pincushions. I think the muffin is my fav. But what does 'oven-bottom' mean?

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.

its a type of bread roll that they have more in northern England.  My husband is the one that kind of named it.  I have no clue (being American and all)  They are the kind of rolls that aren't crusty on the outside and really soft in the middle and they are really flat.  I think they used to bake them in the bottom of the oven so they didn't get it rise like a normal roll.

they look like these http://www.ovenbottommuffins.co.uk/fluffy.jpg
