It's pretty gross, IMO. I think it's mainly a Southern thing, so maybe you have to grow up with it (like Marmite! lol)

You're right, batgirl! (I totally felt like a sidekick typing that! Cheesy)  it does usually have bits of sausage in it.  I never cared for it, although I do like biscuits and gravy once in a blue moon.

last I knew country gravy did have sausage in it.  like ground sausage.  and it is mainly southern, but I'm in the north east US and LOVE the stuff.  Cheesy  I had it at Bob Evan's a few months ago (I usually get pot roast hash).  I've had it homemade dozens of times before.  man I'm hungry for biscuits and gravy.  Tongue

I need some marmite now.  I want to try one of those salt-n-vinegar sandwiches!

Oooh.... Stop.... You're killing me. I'm gonna be dreaming about biscuits and gravy. *drool* There was a little Ma & Pa resturant down the street from where I lived in the States and they had the BEST biscuits and gravy.

Here in MO we make it both with and without sausage. We call without "country gravy" and with "sausage gravy". I like them both a lot. As a matter of a fact, I've never met a gravy I didn't like. Cheesy

My brain hurt like a warehouse, it had no room to spare
I had to cram so many things to store everything in there
And all the fat-skinny people, and all the tall-short people
And all the nobody people, and all the somebody people
I never thought I'd need so many people

YAY! my package has made it through the CLOSED AIRWAYS of Europe and across the little pond! thank you thunderchild!!! I LOVE my package...and my daughter loves it too!!!

all my goodies together - some magazines, candy, and special treat for my daughter of ruler, colored pencils, regular pencil, and pad of paper (which is almost completely full, she has not put it down since I got it out of the mail):

(she wanted one with her foot in it):

close up of my daughter's stuff with her already writing in it:

and the best: a REVERSE-able HUGE tote, this is going to be full of library books come out next trip...or maybe our trip to the farmers market...or grocery store...or...who knows! I think I'll keep it with the British flag but if I so choose I can reverse it and it will become the American flag. come on...we all know the British flag is way cooler!

thank you thunderchild!!
