Details of swap:

Today is the first day of spring and that means it's time to start gardening!  But what do you do if you can't find your gardening gloves?  Or if you've got several opened packets of seeds that you don't have a place to keep without them spilling together?  What if you've always wanted a gathering basket or a gardening apron?  Well, this swap can help you get all those crafty garden things!


Crafting Requirements:

The requirement for this swap is 5 points, which will translate to one medium and three smalls OR two mediums and one small (you'll need to discuss which with your partner!).  


For those who need a refresher, here's the Craftster guide to what constitutes each size:

By Time

-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Small = 2 or less hours

By Size
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

By Price
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less


Communication Requirements:

Checking in on the swap thread at least once a week is required so we know you're still around and crafting!  A quick note saying that you're still working is sufficient.  Also, communicating with your partner is also a necessity.  If you have consistent (and recent) dings on feedback for poor communication or sending late, I may not approve your application.  I will also note communication in feedback!

DCN are required for US swappers sending to partners in the US.  International swappers must keep the receipt.

mailing starts:
1) wrap the plant roots in damp newspapers with the foliage sticking out the top.
2) fold up the bottom of the newspaper, careful not to get the leaves wet as they will rot. 
3) wrap the wet newspaper in a plastic bag (like the kind you put your veggies in at the store).  DO NOT TAPE THE BAG SHUT.  the roots need oxygen!  just twist the bag loosely shut. 
4) Then put them in at least 3 (I like to use 5, any less than three will dehydrate the plants) normal plastic grocery sacks, each time covering the open end of the sack with the bottom of the next.  you can but several plants in the same sack for the layering of sacks (make sure the roots are all faced the same direction). 
5) then place the entire package into a box and mail.  make sure you do priority mailing as the plants cannot survive more than a few days in a box like this.

you may consider mailing the plants separate from everything else so it doesnt get crushed.
