CRAFT-RELATED mispronunciations! 'fess up!

i've always heard skAne, i'll always say skAne.
might it vary between parts of the country / world?
and one thing that bothers the hades out of me is when people misprononce corset. they either say corSETTE, like corvette, or corSAY, like ballet. it's CORset.

Okay, so I didn't read all 51 pages of this topic, but I did search this board only for my word, and nothing came up. 

I have no idea how to pronounce cloche.  Is it cloch, cloch-e, closh, or closh-e?  Anyone know?

strangely, I can't think of a single word that rhymes with cloche! Or gruyere, LOL

but for guyere, the only thing i came up with is foyer, but i don't think that's close.

i used to have trouble with matelasse because I'd never seen it with the accent on the e... now I know.  I also USED to say gross-grain (till y'all done schooled me)

That's how everyone pronounces them here in Scotland. My family's English so I grew up with an English accent and English pronunciation, so I don't pronounce them that way, but I think the Scottish way is cute.

Okay, so jewelry.

Emphasis on the jewel. It's neither pronounced nor spelled like cutlery, but I've heard and seen countless advertisements that call it "jew-lery".

Oh, and the cloche conversation that was, oh, nine million pages back: is it with a long o as in clothes, or the 'aw' sound as in moth? It rhymes with brioche (a tasty bread AND a fun stitch), right?
