Hey there. I was browsing Craftster a couple weeks back looking for Christmas present ideas when I came upon this beauty: Think Pink Japanese Cherry Blossom bag. I loved it so much and thought it would be up my sister-in-laws alley, so I attempted it with a few changes... I'm so proud of it as it 1) is the largest embroidery piece I've ever done and 2) is the very first full-sized bag I've ever made (I've only made little satchel pouches before).

I added 2.5 inch sides and padded the front pouch with some quilting material. Oh- and I guess I should mention that my sis-in-law absolutely adores mice and rats, so I added one on there for her Smiley He's too cute and looks so curious staring up at the flowers...

So, on to the pictures!

The colors are wrong in the first picture and are much better represented in the second picture (second picture also shows the lining fabric I used).

and here's some close-ups of the stitching:

This project took me about 5 days to complete...
and thanks for looking Smiley
