I want to let people know about an incredible, really fun class on Patternmaking thats offered at Lake Washington Technical College. You learn how to make clothes that really fit (even pants), draft your own patterns and knock off ready-to-wear. The teacher, Dorothy Orzel, has years of experience as a professional patternmaker and makes things really easy to understand. She helped me draft a beautiful portrait collar just from looking at the illustration on a vintage pattern envelope.

I wish I could have taken this class years agoId have a closet full of clothes that fit, instead of a heap of botched sewing projects.

Spring quarter starts on April 10 and registration is open now-- http://www.campusce.net/lwtc/course/course.aspx?C=86&pc=4&mc=&sc=

Thanks for posting this. I've been wanting to learn some pattern drafting for a while but haven't known where to go. *Off to check my schedule*
