I finally completed this but haven't been too excited to post it....because YET AGAIN, I buy a shirt and the seam is crooked!! WTF? I swear to God every plain t-shirt I buy is defective some how! I always check them and then I get home, and there's always something!! URGGGGGGGGHHHHH, ok I'm done....
This stencil took about 10/12 hrs to complete and it's a design I pulled off the internet. I would absolutely re do this one again, on another less annoying shirt, so that my placement actually turns out the way I plan 
I took my pictures funny to minimise the look of it being off kilter....but it  is totally messed up when I put it on LOL

I believe that most plain T-shirts are defective... but this one is pretty close to perfect especialy wit that skull on it!

This is absolutely amazing. All that detail! Patience spent and the straw must have been the darn shirt! I think some just twist with washing and such. I even own pants that have nearly caused a nervous breakdown due to naughty behaviour. 
And like all stress in crafting...only you see the imperfections!

Totally awesome!  Fabulous job on the cut-out - the paint looks beautiful!  What kind of paint do you use, just craft/tulip paint?  and do you prefer the wax paper method - or do you use the stencil plastic?

I use a freezer paper stencils, which I love, especially for fine details. I honeslty just buy dollar store acrylic paint, and mix in some Plaid meduim.

I never thought that my shirts could be going funny from the wash....Any suggestions for which would make more sense : Stenciling, then washing or keep trying to put them on straight after they've been washed and turned crooked?

This looks great! How long did the stencil take you? I'm always meticulous about my stencils, specially cause I hand cut (with exacto) all of em on freezer paper.

The last shirts I stenciled for my sister's birthday came out fine, I washed them first then gave em another wash after to fix any paint that might have faded away.

I hand cut all my stencils on freezer paper as well, this one took about 10hrs to cut....obviously not all at once LOL try using an exacto knife safely with a 3 yr old and a 2yr old! LOL

Wow!  The 10 hours were def. worth it!  Reminds me of the Mexican Day of the Dead.  Make sure you wear it that day!

Wow, I'm amazed at the patience you've had to cut out that stencil! It does look amazing though, so it would be a shame if you never wore it at all. Perhaps, if you really dislike how crooked it it, you could reporpose it and make it into something else? (Perhaps if you cut it out, you could sew it to a black tote or something?)
