Just wanted to say hi to all you creative souls. There is some wonderful stuff here and I can't wait to read through it all and hopefully do some posting of my own.
I'm saying hi here as I mainly make perfume and perfumed products (natural with EOs) and natural beauty and bath stuff too.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.  Smiley

Hi Miss Bloom! Welcome to Craftster! So, I'm really bad with time zones, it's 9 pm here, is it daytime there?  Grin

Can't wait to see some of your goodies!  If you have any favorite New Zealand suppliers please let us know and we can add them to the supplier list.

Thursday afternoon!

Not that I know of on this board in particular. There are several around Craftster, I know there are some that do swaps!  There's some Australians (or at least one that I can think of) that hang out on Bath & beauty

I don't know if you've checked out the New Zealand board, you can find it here:

I'm in Oregon, USA. West coast, so it's not quite my bedtime wednesday night lol!

So what kind of perfume do you make? Liquid or solid? I've only ever made solid perfume with a wax base and body sprays with a cyclomethicone base, I don't really know anything about blending or the more complicated bases. One of those things on my list to learn someday  Grin

Ah, to live in a country with tea time!

Welcome!  I look forward to hearing more about your perfuming adventures!  I've not made perfumes (solid or sprays), but would really like to.  I just got ahold of some ylang ylang EO, and pretty much want to smell like it all of the time!  Grin

Oh, how tragic!  I wonder if FOs would have the same effect?

I make both solid and oil based perfumes at present. I generally make natural perfumes with essential oils and absolutes etc but I do dabble in FOs as an accent if there is something I can't do easily with naturals.
Alcohol based is a bit of a pain here because of the regulations on buying perfumers alcohol (very difficult) and sending alcohol based products in the post. I have never tried cyclomethicone, though I do *try* to keep things as natural as possible. Smiley
