I've gone through like 5 gluesticks this week...

I made this album for a service/talent auction for church that was last night. It sold for $70.00 in fake money! Woo hoo! Anyways, I doubt it will be used to house ATCs, probably just photos, but the slide-in frames are ATC-sized Smiley

There are 5 front and back pages cut out of cereal boxes so it holds 10 photos or ATCs.

I tried not to go too crazy on the layouts with embellishments and stuff, because I wasn't sure if non-die-hard-crafty-folks would appreciate insane amounts of ephemera attached to the pages...

Here's the slidey mechanism. It's just thin rails of cereal boxes glued on to make a track for the pic to slide in.

Sliding action shot. I had to make a little explanatory ATC so people would know precisely what size to crop their photos to. Well, now that this book is gone, I've just got to make another and go crazy-go-nuts on it.

I saw this on your blog the other day as well, and I have to say I think it's absolutely beautiful. And such a great idea for an auction! It would make an awesome gift as well, cos even the scrapbook-challenged deserve a pretty photo album!  Cheesy

Thanks for the compliments, guys Smiley They mean a lot to me !!!!

Love it!  How long did it take to make?

I started on Sunday evening and took about 2 and a half hours then it took another 2-3 hours or so Monday morning. I'm guessing the next one won't take quite as long because I won't have to fiddle around with mechanics and junk, plus I have all my templates made!

it's fab and great for those of us who aren't the best scrapbookers (or would take ages to make one half as good)!

Gotta love those fake money auctions. Was it for the RS birthday party? It turned out really cute BTW. I can see that it's a great way to use materials on hand and to use up some of those smaller pieces of trim. I like all of the colors you used.

You bet it was for the RS Birthday Party and it was super fun! I'm not much for scrapbooking, but I didn't thing most of the ladies would want/have use for an art book or painting or whatnot, so I thought an album would be good and useful and I wouldn't have to go out and get new materials. Glad you like it Smiley

That album is just beautiful! You must be so excited that it 'sold' for so much too. Your hard work really shows :3
