Look out, Portland. I'm so indie.

I made this dress a few weeks ago for my god-daughter. The fabric for the skirt is a very lucky thrift store find and the onesie I picked up later at a clothing swap because the second I saw it I knew it would match the apple fabric perfectly, and thus, a cute little apple dress was born.

I looked at a few tutorials for skirted onesies around the net to get the look I wanted. I leaned very heavily on this tutorial on craftster but just shortened the length of the skirt given in the instructions and made two instead of one. I also moved the seam to the left side of the garment instead of the center so I would have less of a chance of it looking uneven.

I feel like the apple applique on the chest is just the perfect finishing touch.
And just one more picture of my adorable god-daughter modeling her new favorite dress:

Be blessed!

I love personal swaps, I currently need art (paintings or something to hang on a wall) but I'd be up for anything.
