I have been having so much fun with resin this week so I wanted to show everyone what I made.
Check out all of these recycled barbie dolls....

Here are a few of the pendants as soon as I popped them out of the molds
I even filled the back of the pendants with colorful shaped sequins and seed beads.

Next I put tiny eye screws (I think that is what they are called???) in the tops and bottoms. Then I put together the necklaces.

I really like this one. She has a pearl hair piece and has tiny charm dragonflies flying all around her. I strung this pendant on an invisible type necklace with clear prism like beads. She also has a clay flower that floats on top.

This is a vintage barbie that I found at a flea market and it was missing its arms so I recycled it. This one has bright red lips, actual eye lashed, pearl hair piece and I used an actual diamond ear ring for her ring. I had lost its pair and have been hanging onto it forever trying to figure out what to do with it. The diamond is not submerged into the resin. It just floats on top of the pendant.

These are the last two barbie charms. I made a large charm out of resin to dangle on the bottom. One has colorful sequins in all shapes and tiny sead beads. The other large one that dangles has a polly pocket hair brush and mirror.

And lastly this barbie is OLD! When I was a kid my brothers ripped off her legs and arms. Even though it was only a head and torso I have kept it all these years trying to figure out what to do with it. I haven't finished it yet but am hoping to find vintage beads and charms to finish it one day. The head piece is the actual necklace that came on the doll. The eyes are some type of blue stone.

Thanks for looking!

These are so fabulous and creative! I especially love the little jewels in the eyes of the last one...makes her look very glam-freaky. Hitting "this rocks!"
